I’m OPEN FOR WORK.

I am a 4th-year PhD student at the Division of Landscape Architecture, Faculty of Architecture, The University of Hong Kong, supervised by Prof. Chao Ren. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Gardening and master’s degree in Ornamental Plants and Horticulture from School of Landscape Architecture, Beijing Forestry University in 2017 and 2020. Prior to my PhD study, I worked as an assistant landscape designer at AECOM Beijing office.

My research focuses on the human experiences in urban landscape under the changing climates, aiming to support evidence-based climate-responsive landscape and urban design. My current research evaluates dynamic outdoor thermal comfort in subtropical Hong Kong under the new normal of heatwaves.

  • [2025/08/20] I defended my PhD thesis. Special thanks to my thesis examiners, and my supervisors, Prof. Chao Ren, and Dr. Tanya Z. Tan.
  • [2025/07/21-25] I attended Global School on Heat Adaptation in Montreal, Canada. It was a fascinating week learning from people from diverse backgrounds, especially physiologists. Thanks a lot for the opportunity.
  • [2025/07/07-11] I attended ICUC12 and presented our walking experiment on dynamic outdoor thermal comfort in Hong Kong’s Public Housing Estates. I like the quote “All progress takes place outside the comfort zone”.
